The Food Bank is able to rapidly receive and distribute items throughout our network of more than 430 agencies.   In 1996 the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act was enacted to encourage donations of food to non-profit organizations, like Mountaineer Food Bank, for distribution to needy families. This law protects manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers from liability when donating food to a non-profit organization.  If you would like more information on the Good Samaritan Act or would like to make a donation call Carla Nardella, at 1 800 HUNGRY 8 (1-800-486-4798)

Host a Special Event in Your Area   Are you a member of your local Rotary, Lions Club, or a Professional Organization in West Virginia?  You can help us spread the word about the role Mountaineer Food Bank plays in serving those who are hungry around the State.  If you would like a representative of the Food Bank to come and speak with your organization about how we can work together to alleviate hunger contact us at 1 800 HUNGRY 8 (1-800-486-4798).
