The direct impact of local volunteers to the services
provided by Mountaineer
Food Bank is immeasurable . The efforts of these
generous supporters expand and enhance what is available to the
feeding programs served by Mountaineer Food Bank.

Volunteers represent civic and youth organizations,
individuals, school and church groups, and senior citizen
groups.

Projects include repackaging cereal and frozen corn,
sorting and packing new children’s clothing, traveling on truck runs
and helping with unloading,
warehouse tasks, sorting books, assisting with monthly mailings along with
completing a 23,000 piece direct mail campaign. Also, services such
as electrical, engineering, video production and artistic talent
have been given freely by volunteers.
